Within a busy lunchtime crowd, seven people, six walking in pairs, silently entered Granary Square. They paused at the corners of the central fountains and then walked in a choreographed sequence between these four points. The speakers they carried emitted slowly changing tones, beeps and blips, which combined to create shifting chords and melodies as the performers moved. Communicating with each other through signs and gestures across the fountains their audience gradually became aware of the uncommon presence of deafblind performers. Their soundscape cut through the designed noise of the fountains subtly modulating the ambience of the space.
