To Hand in Granary Square

Siobahn Davies & Matthias Sperling

A lone performer meticulously traced a path across Granary Square, once in the morning, once at lunchtime, and again in the early evening. Each journey took approximately an hour to complete. He lifted arms and legs one at a time, balancing with astonishing precision on clear plastic pots. He hovered above the hard surface throughout, and casually discussed the complex collection of decisions made in order to navigate his path with users of the square.

To Hand in Granary Square was developed from In Hand and was commissioned in 2015 as part of Unannounced Acts of Publicness with support from Argent.
