'What started off as a documentation, a reference, for my mother (a self-employed architect working on public space projects) gradually turned into something else – a rearrangement of the things I found between the lines of a pattern in the pavement connecting a set of trees. A temporary intervention that was perspective-bound, unannounced and lasted for as long as it remained visible. Looking at it as a 'city whisper' I did not want to be a part of it as I was afraid it might turn into a performance. However, the experience of doing it was so amazing that it completely shifted my relationship towards it.' Nina Janssen, 2011
