'Over twenty years ago a group of people built three short streets of wooden houses on Calverley Grove, Nicholay Road and Buxton Road in Archway, loosely following the methods of the German architect Walter Segal. Individuals contributed their particular skills to the group and each had an input into every home. Self Build is a work-in-progress considering the implications of staying in one place with the same people and the complexities of how 'community' is forged.' Andrew Dodds, 2014
